Victoria’s Secret supermodel Heather Marks will walk the runway along with other international top models during the fifth Leggy Night in Ho Chi Minh City on May 15, according to the show organizer.
Canadian supermodel, Heather Marks, will walk the runway during the 2011 Leggy Night in Ho Chi Minh City on May 15.
The 23-year-old Canadian model will receive US$40,000 for her presence at the event, the organizer, Venus Modeling Company, said.
Pham Hoang Nam, who has also organized Miss Vietnam World 2010, the annual Dep Fashion show and Charming Vietnam Gala, said the sets for the Leggy Night have been inspired by cabaret of the 1950s, and Venus.
The painting “The birth of Venus” by renowned Italian artist Sandro Botticelli will hold center stage on the set. “The show is expected to be an international fashion event; the supermodel [Heather Marks] will not feel she is performing on a Vietnamese stage,” Nam said.
Marks, who was discovered at the Calgary Woman’s Show at the age of 12, made her debut in the Spring/Summer 2004 season, during which she walked for more than 43 international labels like Anna Sui, Burberry, Chanel, D&G, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, and Versus by Versace.
Since then, Marks has worked in shows and advertisements for global brands such as Calvin Klein, Emporio Armani, Kenzo, Jimmy Choo, Lacoste and prominent fashion designers.
Marks started walking the ramp in Victoria’s Secret fashion shows in 2006, and has appeared on the cover of numerous high-fashion magazines.
The festival will also attract 40 other top models from Vietnam, UK, South Korea, and Singapore, who will showcase the latest designs of domestic and international designers.
More than 250 celebrities including beauty queens, movie stars, and top singers are expected at the glitterati event, to be held at 8 p.m. at the Ocean Club, 7 Nguyen Tat Thanh St., Dist. 4.
