Online accommodation provider Hotels.com on Thursday announced the launch of new websites in Vietnam and Indonesia with localized content, allowing travelers to book over 135,000 hotels.
“Indonesia and Vietnam are amongst the key growth areas for online travel and, with our unsurpassed hotel offering, we believe the new sites will prove attractive to both leisure and business travelers in these markets," David Roche, president of the company, said in a statement.
Users can book online, on a mobile device or by calling the 24/7 customer centers, the company said.
The company currently operates 77 Hotels.com websites around the world, including 15 across Asia Pacific alone. The Vietnamese website is now accessible at http://vi.hotels.com.
Research firm Cimigo said in a report last month that Internet penetration in Vietnam is as high as 50 percent in urban areas.
